Give Help

Thankyou to all our supporters and volunteers

Our generous supporters

Wow, what a year!
Our busiest ever, with more vouchers fulfilled, more people fed and more food given out than ever before. For a short term project, that was only meant to last a few years, we really can’t believe we are needed more than ever, 9 years later.

The question is, how have we managed to fulfil all those vouchers and feed all those people? The answer is easy, it’s you, our very generous, loyal and caring supporters have stepped up big time to make sure we have what we needed to keep the food flowing.

  • The general public
  • Churches
  • Schools
  • Local and national business(and their staff)
  • Social groups and clubs
  • Almost every supermarket in our area
  • Fundraisers and sponsored events
  • Other charities and grant givers
  • Resident/neighbourhood groups
  • + many more

Even in a cost of living crisis, with every person feeling the pinch, it hasn’t slowed you and you’ve dug deep to fill our warehouse with food, or given cash so we can operate, time after time. It really has made us realise just how blessed we are to have you by our side and it’s given us the drive to do as much as possible for as many people as possible, and we simply can’t thank you enough or put in to words just how much of a difference you’ve made to people in your town, when they’re in a real financial crisis. You will most likely never meet the people you help, but believe us when we say, they are very grateful for you and your generosity and so are we. Merry Christmas and a happy new year, see you in 2023.

Our amazing volunteers

Where do we start with you lovely lot?
It’s safe to say without selfless people like you there simply wouldn’t be a foodbank to speak of. You are the foodbank and all of its moving parts!
Whether you give your time in the foodbank centres, in the warehouse, at supermarket collections, doing admin, driving the vans, as a volunteer manager, or whatever is needed at the time, you are quite simply amazing and we couldn’t do what we do without you by our side.
It has been our busiest year, and we have needed you far more than we ever have, but you never let us down and are always ready to do what is needed, no matter what, and, for that, we feel so blessed to have you.
We know you don’t do it for thanks, recognition or glory but we certainly owe you a big chunk of all three, and we would like you to know that we are forever in your debt. You know just how much we are needed and just what a difference the foodbank makes and that is all thanks to you.

Warren and the trustees would like to say thankyou to each and every person that has helped the foodbank this year, whether as a supporter/donor or as a volunteer. The things you do may seem small to you and you may feel it’s just a nice gesture, but it’s far more than that, you are literally changing peoples lives and giving them hope, or at least the ability to eat when they have nothing, and that is very special indeed.

On a personal note, Warren would like to thank the volunteer trustees for all your help and  support throughout the year. Your guidance and support means a lot and is vital to the smooth running of the foodbank.

We hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a happy, peaceful and prosperous new year.

See you all soon . . .
