Harvest is approaching
Its the time of year when we start to appreciate the food we have, and how hard the people that produce it work. Traditionally it’s about giving thanks for a successful crop yield over the year as winter starts to approach and giving thanks for all the good and positive things in people’s lives, such as family and friendships, but the festival is also about and helping support people facing hardship in our community, by giving surplus food to be distributed where it’s needed.
That’s where we come in. We would love for you to donate your harvest collection to us, so we can help as many people as possible in your local areas. People that are down on their luck, facing financial crisis and having to choose between eating or paying bills.
Churches, schools, local groups and organisations, or local communities that come together to collect. You can even simply buy an extra item or two on your weekly shop and drop them in the baskets behind tills in most major supermarkets.
We can collect your collection or you’re welcome to drop off at any food bank session. Visit our contact us page or ring/WhatsApp Warren on 07980881925 to arrange.
Together we can end hunger.
