Citizens Advice drop in service
We have teamed up with Citizens Advice Wigan Borough to provide a drop in service on Fridays, for people facing hardships and are not sure where to turn for help.
Are you struggling to make ends meet and not sure where to turn for help?
We are proud to be able to offer a completely free drop in service for the people of Atherton and surrounding areas, that are struggling to make ends meet and afford the essentials.
Thanks to the efforts of our supporters and Trussell, we can offer this service by funding an advisor from Citizens Advice Wigan Borough, who will be on hand to help with any problems you may have regarding benefits, housing issues, bills and budgeting, debt advice, information about your rights, energy etc. and may be able to arrange a food voucher to visit the foodbank, once you have received full advice.
If they can’t help they can do their best to signpost you to people that can.
Every Friday from 9.30am – 11.30am at St. John’s parish church, Atherton (side entrance opposite Buttyful cafe)
There is no need to make an appointment and it’s open to anyone who is struggling to afford life’s essentials, so if this is you please don’t even think about it and do just call in and see them, they will do their best to get you back on your feet.
