Donate to the food bank

Almost all of the food & toiletries we give out is donated by you, the public, and it’s your generosity that is absolutely vital to our ability to give everyone referred to us a balanced and nutritious three day supply of food.

Ending hunger together

We are grateful and appreciative of every donation we get, whether you give 1 item or a trolley full.  If you think donating a single item wont do much please know, it really will. If everyone reading this donated one item it would feed an awful lot of people, who would otherwise go hungry due to a crisis in their life

Our shopping list shows the items that we are short of and need to ensure we can provide a § of food and toiletries to our customers.

 

We are desperately in need of:

• Cordial pop orange/blackcurrant 
• Soup 
• Deodorant (Men’s & Women’s)
• Ready made custard
• Long life milk
• Tinned tomatoes 
• Pasta sauce 
• Rice pudding
• Toothbrushes
• Shower Gel
• Shampoo

Please do not buy, we have loads

Or please consider a financial donation, so we can run our warehouse, van, and food bank centres, to get the food where it’s needed most.

You can make a one off or regular donation via NowDonate with £5, £10 or £20 per month (or whatever you can afford) making a big difference to our work, you can also make one off donations on NowDonate or Via PayPal’s Giving Fund where you can even make us your favourite charity.

If you are happy to buy an extra item or two with your shopping please drop them in the baskets in the supermarket you buy them, so we benefit from a very generous top up from that store. You can also drop items bought elsewhere in any supermarket collection point, but if you do drop items not bought in that particular Asda or Tesco, it is important that you wrap them in bags and mark them as not bought in store.
It’s also easy to donate food and toiletries by calling at any of our food bank sessions, where our very friendly volunteers will happily collect them from you. food bank Locations

We also hold regular collections in supermarkets in both Atherton and Leigh, giving people the opportunity to donate food, toiletries or cash.

If you would like to help out at any of our supermarket collections, for a minimum of 2 hours, please get in touch

Without your amazing generosity we would not be able to do what we do, so both us and our customers really do appreciate every last item we get. We know its given with thought and a desire to help people in having a tough time.

Local groups and organisations can hold food drives, sponsored events or become a donation point for their local community.

Local businesses can hold food drives, encourage and support sponsored events amongst staff, buy food in bulk, or become a donation point for their local community. (Please contact us to discuss any bulk food donation or check the latest list of items we need most, above, so we can make sure your support suits our current needs)

Local business can also support us financially through one off or regular donations, grants, or providing services and larger things we need. We support the communities you serve, we are sure you want to do the same.

We always welcome donations and promise to use them to provide help to people in crisis. Occasionally we send food to other nearby foodbanks to support their work, particularly if they experience shortages of items we have plenty of(and they return the favour if/when they can, meaning all your donations will impact your community). This ensures your donations go to help people that need it.
